The
Museum is closed on Mondays. Regular hours
are year round from 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through
Saturday, and in the summer months of May through
September it is open on Sundays from
2 PM to 5
PM. There is no formal admission charge,
however; donations are suggested at $5.00 per
person or $10.00 per family. The main
exhibit hall is arranged with informative signage
making a leisurely stroll through a very
informative experience, and staff members are
always available to answer your questions.
GUIDED TOURS:
Guided tours are available by appointment for
groups of 5 or more. Please contact the museum
office at 806-747-8734 to schedule a tour. The
cost of a guided tour is $5.00 per person.
SCHOOL
TOURS:
Educators are encouraged to make the
American Wind Power Center a regular part of their
History, Science and Art curriculums.
Comprehensive guided student tours are available
for $3.00 per student with no charge to the
teachers, bus drivers, or adult supervisors. To
schedule a guided student tour contact the museum
office.
The Lubbock Independent School District is a
regular financial supporter of the American Wind
Power Center and there is no charge to any school
group from the LISD system.
There
is no set admission charge, however; a suggested
donation of $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family
is appreciated.
The ninety plus windmills inside have signage with
manufacturer’s history and usage information
making a leisurely stroll through the exhibit hall
a very informative experience.
